PRINCIPAL’S CORNER

This week has been a week of performances! It is musical weekend, and once again, our HMMS musical did not disappoint. I am always astounded by the quality of the performances each year, and this year is certainly no different. If you have not yet had a chance to get out and see it, there are shows tonight and tomorrow at 7pm! Tickets are $8 and available at the door! Hope to see many of you there!

We also had the opportunity this week to see our visiting author, Joseph Bruchac. I have watched a lot of our visiting authors over the years, and I will say that Mr. Bruchac is one of my favorites! He brings in Native American culture, music, and dancing to his performances and it is both incredibly educating and incredibly entertaining. Our visiting author is one of the best HMMS traditions--giving students the opportunity to learn from professional writers and exposing students to all different genres of reading is a truly enriching experience.

Finally, I want to thank you all for the wonderful spread of goodies you contributed to our teacher appreciation breakfast this morning. It is very much appreciated on our end!
